Jameson Irish Whiskey and an introduction to Irish Single Pot Still Whiskey by Jameson Brand Ambassador Fintan Collier
Single Pot Still whiskey is unique to Ireland in general and to the Midleton Distillery, Co. Cork, in particular, and is regarded as the quintessential style of Irish whiskey. Made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and then distilled in traditional copper pots.
This tasting will be conducted by Fintan Collier, the Jameson Brand Ambassador who hails from Carlow, a little town outside of Dublin. He will take you on whiskey-making journey reminiscent of that which you would get if you traveled to the Midleton Distillery in Cork.
This tasting will include Jameson, Jameson 12YO and 18 YO which are all blends of pot still and grain whiskies. This tasting will also include the Redbreast 12YO and 15 YO which are both Single Pot Still whiskies.

Barry Crockett, Master Distiller, presents Irish Single Pot Still Whiskey
Single Pot Still whiskey is unique to Ireland in general and to the Midleton Distillery, Co. Cork, and is regarded as the quintessential style of Irish Whiskey. Made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and then distilled in traditional copper pots.
It is a rare treat to have the Master Distiller, Barry Crockett at the fair to present some of these incomparable whiskeys. Barry Crockett is a second generation distiller and was in fact born and raised in the grounds of the Midleton Distillery. There is no greater expert on the uniquely Irish Single Pot Still style of whiskey in the world to talk about this historic style that almost vanished for good but which is now thankfully, experiencing a tremendous worldwide revival.
Barry will be accompanied by Liam OLeary, the head of the Still house operations in Midleton, who will give a real insight into the wonderful complexity of these whiskies. Barry and Liams combined whiskey acumen on the subject of the Single Pot Still range which is characterized by full, complex flavours and a wonderful, creamy mouth feel is one tasting not to be missed.
This tasting will include the exclusive Barry Crockett Legacy, both the Redbreast 12 YO and 15 YO. The tasting will also include Jameson 12 YO and Jameson 18 YO as both of these have a pot still content.
